There was a lengthy obituary for Archibald Geikie Brown in The Times on Tuesday 4 April 1922. (He died two days earlier.)

The article states he was married FIVE times. "His fifth wife died [March 1922]. His first marriage was in 1865 to Miss Amelia Brigg."

Hello Kasby;
Just reading some of my old notes re Archibald Brown Woodcock ( my Grand father) Apothecaries assistant (confirmed) & ex Naval sick bay attendant (confirmed) I note you  were/are following a line re Rev Archibald Brown I could be very wrong but I think the Brown  line came in via Charles H ( possibly Henry )Woodcock  born 1859 (son of Charles Woodcock & Ann French ) and older  brother of Archibald Brown Woodcock.  I am following a line that Charles H Woodcock wed Josephine Brown daughter of  William Brown & Mary (surname Unknown at this stage). Then again as I say i could be wrong but that is  one of the lines I am investigating, all so slowly

For any one interested The Times obituary prints a correction and retraction two days later saying that Archibald G Brown was only married 4 times.
