I have some Craiks in my tree too - Alexander Craik, son of James Craik and Isobel Steele, married Mary Watson who was my 5th cousin 3 times removed (!).
They had 11 of a family, some of whom remained involved with the family mill in Forfar.
I remember Craik's factory from when I was a child in Forfar. The building is still there, but it's no longer Craik's.

http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1280835John B Craik was the son of John Fyfe Craik, who was one of eleven children of James Craik and Catherine Fyfe. One of his sisters was Isabella Steel Craik, so it seems fairly likely that his father was Alexander's much older brother, the eldest son of James Craik and Isobel Steel, but I have not researched the rest of the family, as they are not related to me.
Dodabell, I would be interested in reading the Craik history.
