Can someone tell me where I can see a map referred to in the Griffiths valuations
My relative Patrick Whelton is shown as sequence no 44 map ref 40 street no 42 5 lislevane
what or where can I find this map

Where are you located? There are several places in Ireland that would have the maps (Dublin, some libraries in Cork, etc.) but not sure if they'd be found much outside Ireland.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hello

I live in Newport south wales uk
Went over to Dublin and Cork last October !
Found my Patrick Whelton marriage in Lislevane church records 1846 with his fathers details in latin
I am trying to work the other way now and connect the Welsh Weltons to the Irish Wheltons

Many people just assume that when they find a name in Griffith's that it belongs to the person they are looking for. Just beware that there might have been more than one Patrick Whelton in Lislevane at the time and your Patrick might have been living in another household- father's, in-laws', etc.
