Lovely photo!
 Your Edward is the nephew of my Susan. His father was her brother, also Edward .
I think I detect a family resemblance around the eyes.

I'v come across this link before.
I'm pretty sure they don't come from our side of the Dowzards.
There is a George Dowzard of the right age in the family of Edward Dowzard the Policeman.
I haven't yet found a connection between this family and ours ( other than the coincidence that this Edward Dowzard had a wife called Mary Ann, and our Edward Dowzard married two wives both called Mary Ann).

on Tuesday, 10-5-2011... 93 years of age, end of an era!
If only you could have known this gentleman!!
I had the privlege to inform him of his rellies that I had found via the internet, and he was
happy to hear the information I was able to tell him about.
