Many thanks for finding them. The William that you mention on the 1841 is also their son. Please could I have his details?
Is it poss. that Robert would still be on the 1861 or even the 1871? The Grandchild Mary, on the 1851 could poss. be the dau. of their son Samuel, but I don't know who he married. He's new to me.

Robert Shelton was the son of John Shelton (born c1763 died Bulwell 8 April 1836) and Ann Shelton (born c1764 died Bulwell 9 June 1827) Their son William. They had four other sons - Joseph (1790-1821) William (1795 - ??) John (1798-??) & George (1799-1802) Robert married Sarah Shelton in St Marys Nottingham on 12 April 1830 - they had five children. Hannah b1821, Samuel b1826, Jemmima b1837, Mary b1841
Willaim Shelton (son of Robert) b1831 died 1889 married Sarah Ann Osborn - they had 11 children. William was an Ironfounder living in Ironville in 1861 - he worked for Butterly Company and is believed to have worked on the construction of St Pancras Station London

His son ,William who was a furnace man in Ironville, Derbyshire was my Great Grandfather, and his last child, Albert was my Grandfather. He lived in Langley Mill, Derbyshire and was a good friend of the author D H Lawrence.

Wow, I first posted this 12 years ago!
It was Thomas William Shelton born 1853 that married my relative Dora Frost. A lot of my Frost family lived in Codnor, Langley Mill, Ironville, Selston.
