i have looked everywhere for my mother-in-laws father

Please help.
 I spent last Christmas, and new year, looking for my mother in laws Father. She is 85 and last summer said"i don't know much about my father"so i thought id try to help her. Her (older) sister didn't know anything either.

Ewart Trevor Lloyd
I found his birth date April 17th 1882 Newport Monmouth.
I sent for his birth certificate and his mothers name was Sarah Price
Father Thomas Lloyd
I found him getting married in Builth in 1911 to Alice Langford But i cant find him on any census is there anywhere else I can look?
I cant find his date of death or anything else about him

Please help me

Hi Squilery,

Does your mother in law remember when her father died; could it have been in WW2?

Is he shown as deceased on her marriage certificate?

You say "mother Sarah Price, father Thomas Lloyd". Is that literally what the certificate says, or does it say Sarah Lloyd, formerly Price, or some such?

Another thought:  could he have used Trevor rather than Ewart?

A quick look at 1901 online shows an 18 year old Trevor Lloyd, born Monmouth, working as an Iron Mongers assistant at Builth.

Do you know his occupation?

I found this entry in 1891 Wales census for Armor E Lloyd, I'm sure it's Trevor on original.

RG12/4567 F40 P 10
Bank House, Builth

Sarah Lloyd 42, widow, b Brecon
Harry S 9, b Cwbran, Mon
Armor E 8, b Cwbran Mon
Gilbert T 7 b Cwbran

Perhaps someone else could take a look and see.

If you scroll down the page a bit there's a Thomas whose capital T looks very very similar.
