I think we were typing that at the same time Meles  ;D it paused before posting, but then went ahead anyway!

The 1901 Trevor has been mistranscribed as Frevar, but again I think he's Trevor.Living with his aunt 50 year old Martha Price.

Well done Carol - That's definitely Trevor on the original.  How many ways can you mistranscribe Trevor.    ::)

I'm not sure of place locations in Wales.  Could this be the marriage of Thomas Lloyd and Sarah Price?   :-\

Hi Squilery, and a warm welcome to RootsChat.

There are boards for all the Welsh counties, as well as this one ... if you have more questions re Welsh things; the people who read those boards may be more knowledgeable than those who read the general ones ?

Good luck ... ask some more questions, and see what we can do for you !

thanks again,
I have spoken to my m-in-law
She cant remember when her dad died but he is on her marriage certificate (as Edward.....she just noticed when i asked her to look, no wonder I couldn't find him, how many names can they make up!!) however did you find him? She got married in 1950
Ewart Trevor Lloyd was known as trev....... now she tells me
He was an ironmonger
The aunt he lived with was called Ginny by the family but must have been this Martha Price. she never married and I found her in Marylebone London in1891 census as a dressmaker
cant find Sarah price in 1871 unless she was married to Francis or the daughter of the rev Price in llandridnod

How do you know when you have the right one???
This has got me hooked I am still at the computer........
Thanks for your help

Hi,

If you think that the Thomas & Sarah marriage (1880) that Sheila found is the correct one, then the certificate should show the name and occupation of Sarah's father.   Using that information you can, hopefully, find her on the earlier census.

Hi Squilery

I'm pleased you now have a starting point.   ;D  I've struggled to find them in 1881 (not certain if they were already married).  I did find this entry which made me wonder as the MIL is called Price.

RG11/5271 F39 P27
16 Shop Row, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Mon

Thos. Lloydd 54, Head, Draper, b Llangadock Carmarthen
Sarah 36, Wife, b Builth Brecon
Elizabeth Price 64, MIL, b Llangammch
+ Miriam Nash 19, Servant

In your original post you say you have Ewart Trevor's birth cert.  This should show his father's occupation.
