I was so sorry to hear about Peter.  My condolences and prayers go out to his family.  Although Peter did not help me directly, his replies to other people set me on the right track with my Cheshire ancestors.

I'd like to take this opportunity to learn from Peter publicly.

Whilst offering condolences to his family I'd like to remember how patient, kind, witty, knowledgable and greatly respected Peter is.

If I can learn to be half the the patient educator, diplomat he was here on RC then I'll be a better person.

Peace be with him.

As just one of the many people to whom Peter gave so generously via Rootschat, I will remain extremely grateful for his invaluable knowledge and guidance. It has been the basis for most of my family history digging and, for me, Peter exemplified the wonderful spirit of the Rootschatting community.

My sincere condolences go to his family and friends at this sad time.
