I, like so many others, have benefitted greatly from Peter's help and guidance. He was a rock on the Cheshire board, and I can't imagine how his shoes can be filled.

My sincere condolences to his family at such a sad time

Dear Bennett Family
I am so sorry to hear about Peter.  He was the person who answered my first query on Rootschat about two years ago.  He was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable and even sent me some photos of a street in Macclesfield.  He contacted the Cheshire Records Office for me and obtained a certificate for me.  I was amazed and very grateful that a person I had never met would gladly do such a thing to help someone else.  He has helped and brought surprises and happiness to many people on rootschat.  Rootschat is like a big family and Peter was one of our patriarchs.

With My Deepest Sympathy to all of Peter's family :'(
I have not been on the boards recently and the news came as a shock.
I like many others found Peter was always there to give tips and advice. He will be sorely missed.
