I have made a note of the death of the child belonging to John Gillespie  as it is a good possibility.
Would you mind taking a look at the name Mc Hallumas the census could have written it down incorrectly?

there are only 5 so i will post them all
jean mchallum,died 9 july 1835,ms goudie,wife of john mchallum,soldier,age 64,decay of nature
marion mchallum,died 12 may 1835,ms kennedy,relict of john mchallum,soldier,age 69,decay of nature
mary mchallum,died 5 jan 1838,wife of john hunter,labourer,age 57, consumption
mary mchallum,died 12 sep 1844,high street,age 7 mths, consumption
thomas mchallum,died 15 jan 1833,son of robert mchallum,labourer,age 2 , measles
hope some of these are of use to you

there are no katherine browns listed,there are 3 williams but maybe a little late for you but i will list them
william brown,died 17 apr 1839,seaman,age 55,fell from riggen of vessel
william brown,died 1 nov 1848,high street,age 57,palsy
william brown,died 31 jan 1830,baker,age 62,unknown
