The actual marriage took place in Woodham Ferris on 24th December 1795 and is between John DUGGON and Hannah Tanner, both single "of this parish". Witnesses were Thomas Sorrel and James Fuller.
There is a baptism entry on 23rd September 1770 for a John DAMGON son of James and his wife Sarah which allowing for the Essex accent and how the vicar thought it was spelt, could be your man.
