Hi gillsgb, thanks for the memory, I sent the top two photographs to this website some years ago, Bill Harrison and his wife Evelyn were my uncle and aunt, sad to see the old pub derelict although it did have a bit of a reputation back in it's heyday. ;)

It's just very sad to pass the building now. Strood has so few old buildings left, especially since the council destroyed the Aveling and Porter building  :(
