I'm a Warwickshire lass living in Gloucestershire who has an affinity with Liverpool  :D
Son spent four very happy years at Liverpool University, worked for a couple of years, then decided to go back to Liverpool Uni for further year of study.

Liverpool is such a lovely city and the people so friendly  ;D

Hi Graham

Thanks for popping in!

It will be great to see Robert's story on the Church website!

Will there be any Church fees for the work on Robert's gravestone because we haven't taken them into account?  Welsby's mentioned them.  We don't have them at All Saints Speke so I didn't think to ask!

Lynne

Church fees would normally be payable but when Welsby's contact me I will  let them know that the church will waive any fee on this occassion.
Graham

That's great Graham, thank you so much!  And please thank the Church Council too!

The Echo want a photo of someone from the group by the gravestone.  Is it alright for me to send them the one of you that Edna's sister took when she visited St Peter's?  Or if you can have one taken of yourself with the stone you can email it to the reporter at the Echo tonight or tomorrow.  I can pm you with his email address.

He's putting our article through to his Editor to see if it will be accepted and needs a photo asap.  I thought it might an opportunity to mention your roof fund.....!  ;D

Thanks,
Lynne

My best friend of 40 years Kidsnana who lives in Florida is from Liverpool. I used to visit her Dad in Speke and have an affinity with Liverpool. That must count for something.

I am a Canadian living in Canada.  I didn't do a lick of work on this project.  It was watching it all unfold and the spirit of Robert that prompted me to get involved.

Aren't you all just so proud of you???  I knew if we set our minds to it we could raise enough money to get the stone righted...........and it is going to happen !!!!

Congratulations to you all.  A wonderful job done by wonderful people.  I am so pleased to "know" you.

Thank you everyone for telling me where you are from.  I reckon we're up to 3 Scousers and 100's of honourary Liverpudlians!   ;D

It really makes interesting reading because I was presuming most of you were ex-pats or children of ex-pats I don't know why and I've had my eyes opened!

It makes it all the more wonderful that you have all put so much time, effort and money into our Robert's project and I feel privileged that I was able to join in, even if rather belatedly, and to help out in my own way.

Once you help a Scouser you have a friend for life, and you become a friend for life.

Lynne

I think a lot of us arrived here not through the géographie but via the Histoire  ;D

A sincere Thank you, from me, for being brave enough to take on the £ side of things, without that we would have never, ever got this far.

Wendi  :)
