Hi everyone

I've been in touch with Welsbys this morning and told them we are nearly at our goal.  I was secretly hoping they would offer a donation.... but nothing yet.  :(

Now a bit of other disappointing news - sadly it will take at least 8 weeks to fit the work into their schedule although the secretary did say she would mark the order 'asap'.  I'm sorry about this but it never occured to me to ask about timescales.  I thought it would be a couple of weeks at most.  :'(

I've also asked her if we can put a piece in the Echo as the project now has an outcome and they might be more interested now and she said fine.  I'm hoping when she talks to her manager he'll realises it's a bit of free publicity and offer us that donation....!  ;)  I know there's a summary of the story somewhere in the threads which I think Annie put together for the Echo (I'm getting fed up with them but I'm not giving up!) so I'll find that and talk to Annie about the finished article before I do anything with it.

I'm going to bank the cheques this afternoon and find out about bank charges, then I could give Welsbys a cheque next week as a deposit to get the work done.  I think I need to get the order in so it lessens the time we spend waiting.  Opinions welcome!

Thanks everyone,

Lynne

Oh gid shew, Lun....

Sorry, just slipped out.
Look, Robert isn't going anywhere, he's waited this long to be put right, I'm sure he won't mind waiting a few more weeks.
Slow and steady, it's the best way.

As to the Echo...go for um gal, kick bottom!

Lynne

This wonderful news.

I sent an E Mail to

alastairmachray@liverpoolecho.co.uk

asking if Annie's story about Robert had ever appeared in the paper and another person replied saying that there was no trace of it being published.

This info is on the thread, somewhere.
