It will be a pleasure to contribute to the turning of the stone and think it is better for the money to be sent to Graham at the Church.

I would imagine that the stone initially fell because it had not been fixed correctly to the base.

Well wasn't it nice for Michel to be able to read the thread again and to have him contribute to it

If everyone is agreeable for Graham Paisley to receive the donations then I will contact him again to seek his opinion and ask permission to have the stone turned proffesionally.

If any other ideas come up while I am waiting for a reply from my Echo contact then please feel free to disclose them to us all.

I would like to thank MissM for her part in getting the costing of the stonemason and also her help in the background in Woolton.

Wouldn't it be nice for Michel to visit St Peters and see the last resting place of Robert and the memorial inscription and perhaps meet up with some of the local rootschatters.

With you all the way, Edna.
Sorry I will only be able to manage a couple of quid, but I've got to be in on it.

Paula
whatever small ammount from each person will add to the sum required to turn the stone so no need to worry whatever people can afford when the time comes will be acceptable I am sure.

I think we have to ask him for sure !

Good Evening Gatacre,

I agree with you, when I saw the photograph of the stone, I  immediatly thougth like you... The work was not well done when it was erected.
