Hi everyone
I'd like to volunteer to take donations if that's okay with everyone, but i would prefer not to handle any money!
I've had a look at my PayPal account online which is only the basic type but I can't see any reason why any donations couldn't be sent to that account by people with PayPal accounts. That way I don't get to handle any money personally which I would prefer just my final cheque that goes to Welsbys (and Graham at St Peter's if necessary). It doesn't look like others need to have a paypal account to pay into it, but there is a cost for me to receive payments via credit/debit card. (See below) A new PayPal account is free to set up.
If we put a time limit on payments coming in, (a month or so many weeks) then on that date I can let individuals see the account by private email and transfer it to my bank so I can send the cheques off.
What do you all think? Can you see any reason why this wouldn't work? If you think it's okay I will pm my account details to people who want to donate.
I know I'm only a relative newby to this thread so I'll understand if you all want to do it another way.
Lynne
