How nice that is was done for this weekend, great for us living in the U.S.As was already stated its Memorial Day weekend, not that to many really remember.I am sad,i was supposed to be coming home today,i would have been putting my own poppy on the grave with my dear friend Tisgrannie and we would have put one for you Annie and Michel.Oh well, maybe for the ceremony and then i will meet some of you very special people.
The church yard has happy memories for me, i used to work in Woolton and on a sunny day we used to go and sit and eat our butties, such a pretty place. Now it really has a place in my heart
for always.
I am turning into a gozzy four eyes typing through my tears
Thanks to all of you,  Kidsnana

Aw Kidsnana .. never mind .. I think people are realising that it is something that needs quite a lot of forward planning to make a meeting of Rootschatters on this occasionreally special. We'll think of all sorts of things we can do and with enough time we will be able to ensure thateveryone concerned can be given enough time to maybe make their own preparations and arrangements .. I suggest we maybe start another thread in a few weeks for say Roberts Pilgrimage andwe can work towards that then ... Poll

Hi everyone

Thanks for sending your thank yous to Welsby's.  Having seen the stone and talked to Graham, they really did put in a huge effort and went far beyond the remit of standing the stone back up so it's good for them to have the feedback from all of you.  It looks beautiful.   :)

I managed to go again today with Edna and I made two little poppies out of card with our names on to keep Tisgrannie's company!  We met Colliecuts, a new Rootschatter, and his wife and we all had a coffee in St Peter's courtesy of Graham.  Edna will post the photos later in which we held hands across the grave to encompass all of you who were with us in spirit.  (Lump in throat again!)

It was lovely to meet fellow Rootschatters and I look forward to meeting more of you in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

Have the Liverpool Echo featured the restored stone?  I know they did an article few weeks ago.
