So...Do we want to go ahead with the Military presence and all the rest of the RCs in attendance, and if so when?? :)
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

Good news. The headstone has been removed by Welsby's today and even better news is that it is the correct stone! They have put in the foundations and taken the headstone away to clean and fix to the plinth. Speaking to the stonemasons the headstone will be fitted this Friday and evidently the press will be in attendance. Time is uncertain at the moment as there are 2 church funerals on Friday so we will have to work around them. Probably looking at the  aftrenoon but I should know more in the next day or two.

Well this is exciting news!   ;D  Thanks for telling us Graham - I haven't heard diddily from Welsby's so was completely unaware anything had happened so my thanks to Edna for letting me know.

Edna and I are going to try and go, probably Friday so I hope to see some of you there.  I'm working until 1.30 so it will be afternoon for us.  Maybe we should all wear a Remembrance Day poppy if we can get hold of them so we recognise each other?

See you there,

Hi MissM, I have missed you, hope you are well.
I will be coming over from Oldham and don't finish school  until 3.30 on Friday so you will probably have been and gone. Will you be taking a photo by any chance? Isn't it wonderful thats its coming together.  So exciting isn't it.

Hi tisgrannie

I missed you too!  It has been too quiet around here!

I'm hoping to go up in the afternoon after work and I will definitely be taking my camera with me.  It's a good job it's digital because I'd probably need several rolls of film with me!

I hope we do get to meet up and I can't wait now to see the stone upright again surrounded by people who really care.

Wow how exciting   :D  The hairs stood up on the back of my neck when reading Graham's post, can hardly believe the headstone is nearly in its rightful position.

   Oh  what great news.

In a world full of trouble's where our present day serving soldiers are treated with contempt when they return from war it is so refreshing to see what can be achived.

To all who can attend on Friday god bless.

Do you know what ....I AM PROUD TO BE BRITISH !
