Gosh you are a determined lot!  I love reading all your messages!  ;D  A couple of you are very near the mark on one point...

I'm sorry to have left you all hanging.  I was hoping to be able to tell you the article on Robert's gravestone was going to be in the Echo today.   :)

Unfortunately the photos of the grave that I sent which Edna's sister took are too small for print and Echo are now arranging to meet Graham Paisley, the verger, to take them again.   :(

The good news is the article has been passed and will definitely be in next week! ;D

I'm still waiting for someone else to tell you the other news.....

Lynne

Hello All,

Now we arrive to the total success of this fabulous adventure, proof that when people want to work in the same direction, anything can happen, anything can succeed.

C'est magnifique! You are ALL angels ... How wonderful work you have done!  ;D ;D ;D

I am very very HAPPY, I admit that everything that is happening goes far beyond my expectations.

Do you know what would make me happy now?

It is to obtain a photograph of each of rootschat friends who participated in the research, with the place where they live, I would like to make a sort of "table d'Honneur" on my little blog.

Is that too much to ask?

I Come back with you this evening (after gardenning before rain)

Je vous embrasse toutes et tous très affectueusement

Michel

Hi everyone

Our wonderful news is that the fund is complete!  We have all the money promised to pay for Robert's gravestone to be put back upright!  ;D

Thank you all for your donations - you have achieved a wonderful thing and as you can see, Michel (and Annie) are delighted with the news!  I have been touched by your thanks but it was all of you, your determination, your research skills, your devotion to our Robert that have made this all complete and I am proud to be a member of your group.

I will let you know when 'your' story hits the Echo next week!  I will scan it and send it to anyone who wants a copy!

When I get home I will post a some more appropriate smileys!!!  ;D

WOW! That is fabulous news.

Congratulations to you all! Amazing!

This epic is worthy of being in the National Newspapers ... and on TV, as well as the Echo!

What a great human interest story ...
