MissM
without you agreeing to collect the donations and to liase with the stonemason we would still be at the stage of looking for a volunteer that we could all trust to accept our money but thanks to you we will all get to see the thread come to fruition a great achievment and still it is Michel's decision what happens to the Tag but it must be heartwarming for him to see this turn of events that he began a long time ago

Thank you MissM for your efforts

Poll I have not had a reply from my own message a few weeks back and today re-sent it with a new message but I think perhaps his electrics problem that he had a few weeks ago may have re occured

I hope I'm not stepping on anyones toes here but I have launched a thread on the restoration Board where I have done over 2000 restorations for other people over the past 2 years and asked if they would consider paying a £1.00 for any restores I have done for them .. ????

ADDED   Unfortunately my thread on the Restoration Board has been quarantined as it contravened the policy on Rootschat that ensures that all the services are freely given on here ..I understand and do not have a problem with that as I thought that it was likely to happen but it has given a boost to the fund and the moderators are possibly going to let me have a locked thread on the For Sale Board ...I will keep you updated . Poll

if you think you may be able to bring in more money then go for it as we can now afford the turning over of the gravestone but  wouldn't it  be magnificent to be able to have it restored to its original state and the cost of that is almost six hundred pounds five times more than the cost of turning it.

Lets keep the momentum going and see if we could raise this kind of money and if we fall far short of it then the excess could go to the church fund as we did say.

Lynne could you cope with this task

Hi, Polldoll I will add another couple of £'s to my donation tomorrow, which I will be sending to MissM, as you did a coule of restorations for me. They were fabulous too! Great idea to rake the money in.
Good luck with it.

Hi all

Being ever the optimist - those that know me know what a little white lie that is - i think that if we raise enough money to turn the stone PLUS or even BETTER erect it PLUS that the PLUS no matter what it is over either turning the stone - the main outcome required or even erecting it - oh please now that would be nice - should go to the Church's roof fund.

Dont know what anyone else thinks on this but it would be a shame I think that if there is an excess - please let there be on either decision - it should go to the church within which Robert Stead memorial lies (or not - tsk tsk).

Open to the floor - again!
