Hi Julie,

No, my dad is still around and we're both keen to share info with you. I'm just trying to work out how to get my email address to you without posting it on the board. (I assume that doesn't go against any rules). Dad has lost your contact details, which is why the communication stopped. He is still at the same address.

I understand from my dad that Jane O'Neill (wife of Matt jr) had Emma Hursthouse as her mother on her birth certificate. We wonder what, if any, connection there might be to the prominent Taranaki family of that name.

Thanks for making contact.

Chris Leigh

hi there, from memory when i sent for jane's birth cert it wasn't hursthouse but o'neil, will check for sure later today as emma is of particular interest to myself.

Hi,
My mother was Leonie Alicia Willis. Her Father was George Samuel Willis and Mother Lilith Aimee Jones. George Samuel Willis's Father was Richard Willis and Mother Alicia Carey. Alicia Carey's Father was Matthew Carey and Mother Jane O'Neal. In the the posted photo of Matthew Carey and seated Jane O'Neal I wonder if Alice Wills is Alicia Willis?
Do you know who the father and Mother of Richard Willis is?
Ray

Hi Ray
I'm sorry but I have no record of Alicia Carey's descendants I have not researched that line.  Chris may have done some on that line.  Sorry I'm no help.

Hi Ray
I'm a descendant of Parthenia Elizabeth Carey (dau. of Matthew and Harriett Cook) and am in the middle of writing a book mainly of her husband Thomas Parnell's side and am incorporating as much of the Carey's as possible.  Are you interested in swapping info. if so can you send me your email via. personal message.
Cheers
Julie
