Hi Jeff, thanks ever so much for sending your acknowledgement and your lovely portarits - they are great to see. How interesting this is! Sadly I don't have a single reference to a Daniel Tapper at all and thoink it must be a different barnch of the family. It was a surprisingly common name in Devon, Dorset, Wiltshshire and London in particular.
I can agree all the information you included about Isaac William Tapper and can tell you that he did have children - William Crocker Coward Tapper (1844-1872), born in Durweston but died in his twenties though not before he too had been ordained and also had married first Clara Dainty. They had a son Hugh Martin St Clair Tapper (1871-1956) and grandchild anodther Hugh Martin St Clair (query Cecil?) Tapper b. 1899 (?) and a daughter Helen Mary St Clair Tapper b. 1905. I have much more research to do on this line though that will probably be a little way off as Im working on other things at present. But I will happily keep you in the loop if you wish though at the moment, I'm afraid I'm a bit lost as to where the link between our Tappers might be.
What are your thoughts?
Best regards
Jane
