lookup SKEATE in Wiltshire

Would someone have a look at parish registers for John Ralph Skeate (or surname variants) in Wiltshire  BUT  I have his marriage (in Winchester) and, soon after, the birth of his son (John Ralph) in Salisbury in  1809.

What I really want is his BIRTH which should be about 1779 according to the marriage record AND may well be outside Salisbury as I think Salisbury itself has been checked on another lookup.

Hi Freya,
            This was on the 1841 census living in Wiltshire
    John Ralph Skeate b abt 1768 Wiltshire St Edmunds parish  occ builder
 There was a lot of names at this address but are these relations as they also lived there.
          John Henry Skeate b abt 1818 Wiltshire St Edmunds
           Thomas Skeate b abt 1822  Wiltshire St Edmunds

cant help with john ralph senior but here is junior 2 yrs out from what u thought
john ralph skeate born 7th july 1811 bapt 9th sept 1811 st edmunds salisbury .parents john ralph skeate and ann

Thanks Alli and Sue. John Ralphe senior is about a elusive as my ggggrandfather. Maybe that is an indication that they are related!! (thats really where I was hoping to get). The family in the 1841 appears to be john Ralph and his sons. I am not sure whether some or all of the rest of the folk listed are completely unrelated. I will try checking those that are not listed as servants. Cheers Freya
