Di,

I'm not related to the Whale family at all.
Just try to help out here with information
for others when I can.

If there is anything else you need.........ask away.
There is always someone  to try and help you.

Your William Whale is my g.g.g. grandfathers son from Birmingham who became a Baptist minister. His Brother Henry was my g.g. grandfather.

William and Sarah had ministries in Ipswich and Middlesborough UK before emigrating to Australia. There are many articles in the AU newspper archive relating to William with excerpts from newspaper interviews.  There are also notifications relating to his childrens marriages so should be plenty of chance to trace any descendants.  There is a photo of Sarah in her newspaper obituary she lived for many years after William died, mainly living with her daughters and appeared to be a formidable character.

Cheers
