Refer to the Kent County where I have been (incorrectly??chasing William Meader (B 1802) and Mercy Elizabeth Martin (Father George) who were married in the Independent Chapel, East St, Farnham in 1839. Their places of residence are both (Bramshot (sic).
I am hoping to locate them individually in the 1831 census and together in the 1841 census.
MEADER (William and Mercy, Elizabeth) and  MARTIN (George and family) of Thanet/Kent/Strood, Brammshott. May have Devon/Isle of Wight connections.
WARNER, (Thomas, dau Elizabeth) of "London".Married Maria Strutton c 1830
BLACK, Robert and Dorothy of Carlisle (Lord St)

I moved this topic so that you might get an answer to your query.  At the moment though, I don't think that there is an 1831 census that survives for Hampshire.  1841 is usually the starting point.

Would that Newchurch foir Wm Meader be mainland Hampshire or I O W??
