Names of interest in sussex

I have several names of interest in Sussex and I wonder if anyone can help me. My grandfather Frank Harvey was born in Hurstpierpoint, my grandmother Edith Gadd was born in Dallington. I halso have an interest in the names of Budd, Messetter, Rootes and Playford. The Swains were fishermen in Hastings and my husband is a descendent. I would be grateful of any help.

The Harveys apparently came from Brading on I.O.W. Frank had a brother William Bertie whom I know nothing about. Edith Gadd's parents were Lois Budd and John Gadd. I would particularly like to know more about Lois. I have quite a lot on the Rootes and Playfords but any other link would be helpul. My husband's grandmother was a Swain but she died at an early age so we know nothing of her. Her name was Augusta Caroline Elizabeth Swain from Hastings and there are a lot of fishermen in that area of the same name
