Bella, she's the one at the front isn't she, she has more ruffles around the neck, Eliza has ruffles but they seem to be set into a bodice.

storyline still sits at this point  ;D

change of storyline.

I think the bride is Bella, the one at the front.  Her flowers on her dress are different to the others.
I also think that all the girls are bridesmaids, except for Davina as her dress is darker in tone to the others.  I think she is a maid-of-honour, thus older or at least a married sister.
Did they have maids of honour around that time?

I have finally completed my colouring in, I have kept the colours simple and neutral, except the flowers, hope it is ok.
Just a gem to do  ;D

Hi Margaret

That is so lovely! The subtle and tasteful colours that you have given it, really suit the photo.

Hi Everyone,
I'm Evelina's sister so have been following all comment's with interest.
The hair is naturally curly (frizzy),
girl on far right as Evelina says looks like our sister and her hair look like that all the time when we were young.
The men in the family who inherited the hair keep it no longer than a half inch.
As for the girl at the back......you have been so kind, I've always said she wasn't long for this world when that picture was taken.

Hi Evelina,

I was just browsing and noted your Irish connections. I had a wee look at the 1861 SD for Belfast and found :  James Wilson 29 Church Lane Wine and Spirit dealer ; John Wilson 30 Washington St - spirit dealer and a James Wilson 45 Victoria St Wine and spirit Merchant. All long shots. Do you have any addresses at all. There are a couple of local sites (Belfast) I use and at times visit the Belfast GRO, and PRONI=public records.

Confused when you mentioned Downhill Co Down.......I only know of one Downhill in N.Ireland and it is in Co Londonderry on the north coast.

If you had a bit more information I might be able to add to it, feel free to send me a PM.

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter, thanks for your interest, Unfortunately i do not have any information or even the area.  I only have John Wilson's name and occupation form his daughter's mc.  And I only know she was born Northern Ireland from her census information.  So its very sketchy. Thanks anyway.

Again the Downhill - Co. Down is only because someone has written that on the  back on the pic.  I do wonder if its the the one on the north coast as I have another pic which says MACK, Coleraine (I assume this is the photographer) and the chap in it looks very like the tall chap on the left hand side of the Cottage pic, but that may have been the fashion then.
