Can anyone give me a rough date for this pic, I do not know who they are so this could help place them in my tree. No need to restore. Thanks Evelina

I think those sleeves give it away - or narrow it down - 1891-1896. The sleeves got even puffier later   :D

Super quality photos!

Looks like it was a special occassion with all girls wearing their corsages. Does anyone else get the feel of Little Women and Pride and Prejudice.. all those daughters to marry off!!  :o

(know the feeling... I will happily sell one of mine to the highest bidder!)

Lovely photo!

The girl on the left is related to the one second from right...sisters (although they're probably all sisters)? Very similar face, and similar vision deficiency...see the tension in the under-eye area of the second-from-right girl? Her sister is wearing glasses but she won't wear hers, and is near-sighted.

My guess :D

It's definitely some 'do' of some kind - a wedding, a coming out party or some other event. The dresses are gorgeous and the photo is wonderful. i wish I had one like that - envy envy envy  ;D

China... sadly my 3 daughters are of the present time and will only do housework if asked forced/blackmailed! The only one that would do anything willingly, has left home and lives in the middle east.
