help with 1901 census. very little to go on

I am hoping someone out there can help. I am trying to trace  Evan Jones of Bargoed on the 1901 census, all I have is that his son William married Mabel Florence Butland Dec 1913.
A long shot I know, but I have great faith that someone on Rootschat can and will help.

Do you know how old Will was when he married? Do you have marriage cert to post occ. for Evan?

There are 2 families in Gelligaer area in 1901 with son William, age 5, father Evan

HELLO. William J. Jones enlisted in the Army in Dec 1915 his age was 22years 11 months I believe that his father's occupation was a miner.
Marriage certificate is on the way, but I do not have it at present.

Hi Ken,

Cannot find William born Bargoed, but there is a William Jones age 5 father Evan, coal miner repairer, born/in Gelligaer.  The other is a William A Jones age 5, so it is not him.

Evan is born Merioneth, mother Charlotte Pontypridd.

The age is out, with enlistment record, do you want to wait for cert, may help with address?

Hello Cas. I now have the marriage certificate or should I say a copy and it states that William John Jones was 21 on his marriage certificate  1913.

Ancestry is playing up tonight, will not let me narrow search  by area or parent name

Don't know if it's my comp or if this a prob with Ancestry in general at the mo.

The William Jones I found was five in 1901 with father Evan, as described in earlier post.  This was in Gelligaer.  Could not find another in the area, but perhaps they moved Bargoed area later.  If I cannot get Ancesrty to behave, perhaps another rootschatter with help.
