Lorraine what is the difference between a Circus Census and a normal Census?

circus folk are not on the normal census records as they where classed travellers so they had a seperate census done which includes fairground gypse hawkers and general travelleres

I didn't know that! How do you access these? Do you have any Mills families in your records - a William & family, with Smiths appear, as mat makers in one census I have

Iv looked on all the Traveling Census Records and there are a lot of smith entries
a few mills entrys
but the only mils and smith together are this one

Hi,Would it be possible for you to look up the Wilson family.

I have a Margaret Wilson widow of Thomas Wilson dying in the show ground Paisley Scotland in 1919,informant was daughter Jane Ann.
What I have for the Wilson,s say that they were Hawkers,Horse dealers and General Labourers.
A fair used to go to the showground Paisley in the early 20th century.
