To Zenick.  I am not sure what time period you are looking for on your pub crawl but in 1914 a few listed below.

Crwys Hotel.  34 Crwys Rd Cathays.  Chas A McAulay

Splottlands Inn. 3 & 4 Meteor St.   Charles Ward

Cardiff Arms Hotel. 65 Railway St. Moors.  R.G.Rogers

Hope this helps!      Marja

Does anyone know of Julie(Julia) and Marie(Maria) GOMEZ sisters who ran a pub in the

1920's down the docks area could be''The Ship' or some name like that. I had an aunt

(b) 1902 Cardiff who worked for them. She ran away with a married man in 1923 who

worked on the docks docks and was known to her brother at the time.  Name unknown

of the man. She has not been heard of since that time. Sounds like anyone you

know ????     Marja

Hello Marj. There is a pub called The Ship and Pilot 36 James St., Cardiff Bay. This pub is now in a very nice part of Cardiff since the docks have been renovated. Prior to this it was rough and part of the docks. In the late 60`s had great blues music by musicians played there.Good luck in your search.

Sad news, the Tredegar is now closed and boarded up. Another sign of the high prices forced upon us by private enterprise.

The Tredegar is closed due to the ever increasing number of drug dealers using it ..

There was also the Ruperra Hotel in Splott.  That's been since demolished and there are flats built on the old site. (thre is a story behind that too)

The Splottlands is still there ...

There was also another Pub on the corner of Meteor Street .. I am sure it was either called The Meteor or The Comet.

There is the Cottage in Sanquahar Street, Splott - that's been there donkey's years ,,,,

What about the Packet down the Docks?  Have you looked at that one?

Good Luck
