Do you have the marriage cert?

That would give you Arthur's father's name

A possiblity is that Arthur was born in Derby

By 1901 he and his family are living in Aston Warwickshire

Do you require these census??

So really what you are saying is that you do have more information on Arthur than just his birth and marriage reg and what you are seeking is more recent information on him??

it's a little laborious, but the complete death indexes can be searched . If we find what seems to be his deth reg, then sending for the certificate would tell you where he died and name of informant. From that you could search the electoral rolls to see who else was living at the address. Also from his date and address of death maybe someone could look up a funeral report in the ;local newspapers.

Did Arthur die after Clara?

You say the family lost touch many years ago, can you pin down a date of when the last contact was and what area he was living in?

Did he have any children whose details we may be able to find?

Any other details you have may help to trace him. It's surprising what you can remember when you think about it.

How did the family have contact with him - Christmas cards? birthday cards? phone calls? visits to him ? or did he visit the family?

Any snippet of information may help
