Hi sugarcrafter,

She's visiting somewhere in 1861  :-\

1861
RG9/814 19 15
Barrington, Cambridgeshire

Sarah Salmons, visitor, 5, b. Barrington

in the household of Thomas Booker, 42, Teacher of Private school, Independent Minister of Barrington Chapel

I can't see a Salmon family in Barrington, unfortunately, but there's a Mary Ann Salmon age 14 born Barrington in service at Foulmire.

 :)

OK, here are the Salmons she might belong to (clearly Salmons in 1851)

1861
RG9/814 17 12
Barrington, Cambridgeshire

William Sammans, head, 43, Farm Labourer
Ann, wife, b. Cambridge
Samuel, son, 16, Farm Labourer
Rebecca, dau, 12
James, son, 10
Elizabeth, dau, 8
Bertha, dau, 2
Charles, son, 10 mo

All but mum born Barrington

(They are Sammons again in 1871, Sarah not with them)

The parents are still in Barrington in 1881, as well as Charles  ???

Ditto in 1891!

I am trying to trace my family history and locate the parents of a Sarah Salmon.  Michael West, bur. MAY 31, 1799, Bottisham, Camb., was married Jan. 14, 1779 to Sarah Salmon.  The burial record of Sarah (Salmon) West states she was 60 years old at the time of her burial Mar. 26, 1815 at Bottisham, Camb.  This would equate to a birthdate of 1755.  Please let me know why you are interested in Sarah Salmon.
