Phot's 10 Squadron
« on: Tuesday 13 November 07 14:11 GMT (UK) »
I was wondering if anybody can help me my Great uncle served with 10 squadron, Melbourne, Yorkshire.
I am happy with my research so far, but i have been unable to obtain a photograph of my late G uncle and his crew.

My G uncle and his crew were killed on the 2nd February 1945.His name was Seargent William Henry Seabridge, the rest of his crew were -
F/O R.A.Gibbs
Sergeant L.H.Chell
F/O D.Cook
P/O W.P.Parham
Sergeant T.C.Smith
Sergeant W.Ashton

RG443 ZA-Q

I know this is a long shot but perhaps, someone has either a photograph of the crew or photographs of 10 squadron.

I suggest that you put a call out on the website below.

I was fortunate and am very grateful that it worked for me. I spoke this year to two fantastic men in their eighties who flew with my uncle, when he was killed flying over Essen just before the end of the war.

Hi
Thankyou for your responce, another family member of mine has had a posting on worldwar 2 ex raf for some time.
We have been fortunate to get one photo of a crewe member, as for the others still no luck.

It must have been fantastic for you to speak to people who flew with your uncle.

I just hope i have the same luck.

I hope you do as well.

It is obviously the luck of the draw, but the ex-raf website is getting bigger and better all the time, Len the owner puts a lot of hard work into it and has many very satisfied 'customers'.

Hi,

You could also try posting a request on:
http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/index.php

Some of the researchers are in contact with ex WW2 RAF aircrew and someone may have a research interest in 10 Squadron and have some photos. Worth a try, you never know.

Regards,

Ann
