The PAULLS of Somerset/Dorset

I know that there are many Paulls in the south Somerset area but does anyone have any info on one John Paull, father of Robert Paull (born in Broadwinsor Dorset 11834 died 1923)? I have tracked the latter down to Vinney Bridge, Crewkerne in the 1871 census.  As for John, all I have is his name and occupation on Robert's marriage certificate. Any help appreciated.
