could someone be able to help me find irish relatives Patrick Egan  kings county and wife  bridget Kelly  Birr do not know birthdates but came to  Adelaide South Australia by boat in 1840s with  3 or 4 babies .....Bridget jnr....Patrick jnr......Ellen Mary........Francis? Bridget jnr married my my family member Thomas Pain 1850 in ADELAIDE AND THEY ALL went to Menindee  NSW, were her parents died there and herself and Thomas moved on to QLD with 4 small babes to care for.  Would like to know if any relatives in ireland to these people Thanks sandra Australia

To find any Irish records you will need to know the family's religion and where they lived in order to locate church records (civil registration of births death & Catholic marriages only began 1864, Protestant marriages from 1845).
It is more than likely that you will be able to find more information on the family from Australian birth, marriage & death certificates. If you get the death certificates for Patrick & wife Bridget they might give clues like names of parents, etc.

Hi my Mothers Uncle Pat Egan went to Australia. He was from county Offaly. My Mum was an Egan  b4 marriage and who knows perhaps she can throw light on this .

 Joseph Egan Snr died Canada 1910 he was a married man,retired.
his age at death was given as 59 born circa 1851?
He was born in Kings Co,Ireland to Patrick Egan and Bridget Kelly
just coincidence ?
