Kerr serving in forces during W.W.1

Are there any members of my Kerr family who served in the first world war?.Kerrs that Iam related to would have lived at Cargenbridge, Newbridge Terregles, Mouswald and Dumfries. Most of them were farmers and blacksmiths,thanking you stoop.

hi stoop looking through the old posts have you seen a nice big memorial stone in the front part of mouswald cemetery  says elizabeth 4 daughter to francis kerr dumfries sep 1910   francis kerr cleuchbrae aged 58 years 1915  private john kerr killed sep 1917 aged 23years thomas 1914 aged 5 years am wondering who he was csc

According to CWGC, 697 Kerrs paid the ultimate sacrifice in the Great War.

i had a look at it the last time i was there it is quite an impressive memorial in the new part down near the road try to get back there in the next couple of weeks hope it is dry next time i will try to have a better look csc

I have searched through the records of S.P. without success relating to the birth details of Francis Kerr and his son John ,nothing on their birth ,Francis death, census records for John and Francis, very curious, will try another search pattern regards stoop.

i think francis is the son of john kerr and janet rogerson st mungo i think francis wife herries born kirkpatrick fleming looks like she is a few years older than him i might be wrong still checking but is says he was a labourer  will tell you if i get any more csc

i have found mrs harris kerrs death march 1915 at cleuchbrae cott husband francis present is witness her maiden name frazer illigitimate still looking i dont remember her name on stone csc
