I know she came to Tasmania, Australia in 1833 on the William Bryant ship from london. She travelled with her mother Catherine Bullinger,( maiden name unknown ). Catherine was a convict, on trial in Ilchester, Somerset.

Hi Jenn and All,
Interestingly the spelling of the husband's name is HAlley on the permission index
[see link above]

Wonder if little Ann survived the journey or perhaps she was 'adopted' by her mother's new husband and took the Halley/Hulley name.

Hi there, I'm a direct decendent of Ann Bullinger. She DID survive the sea journey from the UK with her convicted mother Catherine Bullinger (nee Timbrell) and married into the infamous Tait family bearing many children, 7 according to my research.

If anybody would like to contact me regarding Ann or her mother Catherine. I have heaps of information, court transcripts, marriage certificates etc. and would be pleased to forward these for your further information.

Catherine married a James Hully and she was a witness to her daughter Ann's marriage to James Tait on 21/09/1836.

Hi Chelmerfella

I am also a descendant of Ann Bullinger and live in Tasmania, Australia.  I have limited information before her journey to Australia but quite a lot of information after her arrival in Australia.  Would like to contact you and swap information if possible.

Looking forward to your reply

Hello Chelmerfella,

May I make a small suggestion? It would be best if you send your email address to Tassie Researcher in a Personal Message, which you can do as you have passed 3 posts. Putting email addresses on the threads is not permitted, and it may be removed by a moderator before Tassie Researcher sees it.

Once you have sent it by Personal Message, you can remove it yourself by using the MODIFY button above your post.

Hope this helps, and just ask if you need any help.......
