I'm trying to track John Gourlay, born in Fife 1832 who appears on the 1851 census in Portman Barracks, Marlebone as found by Joe at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,244491.0.html

that records held in Kew could help

I'm up North and not likely to get to Kew any time soon

If anyone is going and has any spare time I'd be very grateful for anything they can establish
