I wonder if "Ostend" is meant to be "East End"?  ;D Sometimes 'son/daughter in law' means 'step-son/daughter' in older records.

And I, too,  have a magically name changing relative - born Sophia Matilda, married as Matilda and then as Sophia Matilda again.
