My Great Grandmother, who was born as Susan Jane Wiegold on 07.07 1853, originally married a chap called Frederick Farrow. From BMD, the only reference I can find is a marriage between a Jane Wiegold, not Susan Jane, on the 17th Feb 1875. with the rank or profession of her father saying "Deceased", (I have the marriage cert which says Jane, not Susan Jane). This I believe to be correct as he died in 1874.
My query is that she later re-married my Great Grandfather on 02.06. 1890, with her name correct as Susan Jane (keeping Farrow as her surname), but listing her fathers rank or profession as "fishmonger", even though he had been dead before her first marriage.
I want to be sure that I have got the correct people. (Wiegold does not appear to be that common a name).
Was it common on certificates to put the profession even if he was dead, or would they definately have put deceased, in which case I have some more searching to do?
Many thanks
