Sandy Parish Records
« on: Tuesday 28 December 04 13:01 GMT (UK) »
Seasons greetings to all!

Does anybody know how I could get access to parish records for Sandy.  There seem to have been Freemans and Balls there since at least the 16th century!

Any information gratefully received

Thanks in advance

Hi there

Check out the following site:

http://www.bedfordshire.gov.uk/archive

I've just placed a post entitled Links:Bedfordshire Genealogy so others can check it out too. Click on Research Resources, then Genealogy.

If you don't get any other replies to look up what you require, you might be better off buying a copy of the parish records yourself.

I bought some parish register fiches for Marsh Chapel from the Lincolnshire Archives this year & was very pleased with them. I was fortunate though to be able to borrow a reader for a couple of weeks. (They didn't have them in book form.) You would probably be able to check out fiche in your local library.

Regards
