Hi maybe we should try a change of james ...just to confuse the issue and keep us on our toes ..... maybe we should look into Harriets background and see if any Penfolda or Orchards were involved LOL

Toni ...she seems to change her POB .. these are the only 2 censuses of her we can find ....

I think she was born Kingclere , John her husband b Warminster ....

thanks im not sure if i will be able to find her, but i wil look!

i have access to Phillimores marriage index if you need some look ups on there (i have looked for this family but couldntfind anything that jumped otu at me.

i cant help you with Thomas in 1861 i only have access to the free 1881 census (and whats on Freecen.)

I have just found some older research ... that was sent to me ....

The clue started with JOSEPH JAMES< NEWPHEW .... who is with Harriet Penfold nee James in 1871...

Joseph James is the s/o Thomas and Mary Ann James ...1861 census.

Thomas James b 1815 = Mary Holland (another BIG gypsy family)
