Have you checked the census records that might give you an idea of where she was born.
Parts of Lockwood are in the Huddersfield parish.

Ellam, Mills, Ellins
Firth, Wood, Muffitt
Hill, Mattinson, Nicholson
Morrey, Hudson, Limb

It is a while since I helped my friend with his research.  I am sure that I would have looked at the census but I will check and if I didn't I will do so now.

I am really out of my comfort zone researching in Yorkshire :-)

Hi from census one says Lockwood 2 Honley
Joseph seems to have marr twice by 1871 census.

I should have looked at my first post in this thread!  It was the census that confused me in the first place :-)
