Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding finding a list of French prisoners of war in Scotland during the Napoleonic Wars?
Black - Midlothian, East Lothian
Templeton - Dumfriesshire, Morayshire, Canada

I worked installing some plant in Alexander Cowans paper mill in Penicuik,, there they made bank note paper for various banks, the rolls that created the "watermarks"in the paper were kept locked up in iron barred cells in the old part of the mill, i was told that the cells were used originally for holding French POWs from that war, maybe some of our Scottish members may have further information.    Bodger
