house search Queensborough terrace

after looking at my Grandmothers marriage certificate it states she lived at 51 Queensborough Terrace (w) is the (w) Wandsworth or Wimbledon ?
and can anyone tell me what the place was in 1926 as my Grandmother ran away from her first husband to this place ,don't know if it was some kind of refuge or whether she was a domestic servent or something but she married second time from this address,I cannot find out .

Could you be alittle more forecoming, like Where did the marriage take place? That'll help 'fix' the geography for starters.

You could try contemporary electoral rolls for clues as to dwelling type.

Does the address show on a modern map?

Hi, Could stand for West London. If so could be Bayswater which is in Westminster.

Google Terrace Restaurant Bayswater and you will find 49 Queensborough Terrace.

Queens Park Hotel is at number 48 and looks more likely to be how they were.

Yes Queensborough Terrace is in Bayswater W2.

In 1921 numbers 49 and 51 were operated as a private hotel by messrs Chester & Co per the PO Directory.

This has been a 80 year mystery I am trying to get to the bottom of for my Dad,whose mother this is , so now I need to look on Electoral roll will this tell me if she was working there as well as living there ? because there is no way she could support herself .
Also the marriage certificate says they were married in the registration district Paddington (christ church ) her husband (my grandad) was a sergant 1st battalion Grenadier Guards (the barricks Knightsbridge) I will copy the document in hope you have advice for me ,please do not take much notice of the name on the marriage certificate it says Dorothy Seymour my grandmother's name was Beatrice but goes under the name of her sister Dorothy complicated & intriguing eh !
where do I go for a look up on the electoral roll for this info  ? can anyone tell me how to insert attachment
