May I suggest that you enter your surname and check the surname interests table.  The link is via "your surname interests" found at the foot of every page.

It looks as though someone else is interested in your Daniel.  If you click on their name you can send them a message.

Dear Pam,

My surname is LOGAN and my paternal G/F came from either Mayo or Roscommon and was born I believe in 1870 tho' his marriage certificate declared date indicates this could be 1880.   He was married to my paternal granny,  Margaret Loftus.   I understand that there is a connection to the family in the Leeds area of England.   I have tried to make some progress on  my grandads family in the Leitrim and Roscommon 1901 census,  without a lot of success.  On the marriage certificate he states that his dad (my G/G/F0 was Patrick Logan.  Have you any information which may be of use?  Many thanks!
Bill

Bill- you didn't mention what your grandfather's first name was but he might be listed under extracted Isih births on IGI (ww.familysearch.org). If you know the names of both parents then you can do a parent search and might find siblings even if your grandfather isn't there.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Bill
So far l haven't found a Patrick in my Logan's
Names are mainly Daniel. John. Bernard. and 1 Thomas that l know of
My dad is Peter and his brother Frank
l am still trying to find if my dad had older siblings as l didn't know any of them.
l do not know if my 3xs gt grandfather Daniel had any other sons beside my 2xs gt grandfather Daniel and his brother John who were named on the 1841 census age 13 & 15. As Daniel and his wife Annie were listed as 50 lt's a high possibility
lf l find a Patrick l will let you know
Good luck
Pam

Dear Aghadowy and Pam,

Sorry!  G/F's name was Bernard Logan.  Other family names are Thomas and Michael,  tho' my Dad was William Patrick.
If I do come across anything interesting I will certainly circulate the info!

Bill
