Am looking for the birth date, and place for Harriet Ridgway. She was born about 1846 and married Edward Good, on 25Mar1869, at St. Oswalds in Chester.  I do not have any information on her Grandparents or Aunts and Uncles.

Hi,

Just to add to Wozzles finds.

Is this the Harriet that is living in London on the 1881 census with a daughter Rosina born Liverpool?  If so the 1871 census has Harriet as born in Denbighshire, Wales.  In the 1861 census there is a Harriot Ridgway born Flintshire, aged 14 living in Denbighshire with her parents James and Catherine. James was born in Cheshire.

If you want the full details just shout.

I think however, you should send her marriage certificate to determine the name and occupation of her father.

Regards,
Mo

Many thanks for your reply to me search reguest and your offer for further information.     My problem does not exist with Harriet, but with her fatherJames Ridgway. I did know that he had married Catherine Penlington, at St, Chads in Hanmer, I thought that I could simply send the appropriate amount of money, and information, and that would give me a leg up on locating his father.  However ,after a series of emails and revised information entries, the outcome was she had certinly got married but the groom was a mystery.   Could it be that this mysterious James was the kissing bandit who roamed that area from time to time......nah,he's just a farm boy how got lost in the shuffle.       Best regards......Doug Good from Cloverdale, British Columbia.
