Eastbourne query

Dear All,

My great grandfather (Frank Lewis Goodchild) is listed in the 1891 census as being butler to a Charles Campion (Examiner in the House of Commons), and living at "St Fillians" in the West ward of Eastbourne. I think St Fillians is the name of the house on Grassington Rd.

Given the status of the house owner, can anyone tell me whether it may be possible to find out further details of Frank's service? Where might I look for records? I would love to know how long he served there and anything else to do with his service, particularly photographs.

Many thanks,
Helen
