Glad to see that I'm not the only one with lots of dead people on their walls!!
I bought some of those multi-picture frames and put in a selection which now adorn the walls in the dining room. And some special ones are in separate frames, including the one shown here of great great grandfather and second wife. It's a Christmas card. And one of my grandfather taken during WW1 with some friends.
It lovely to look at the pictures and see who it is that you are spending so much of your time trying to find out about!!

I do have photos of the rellies and I speak to them.
 My gran who is 92 once told me that it was not a problem taking photographs way back then with the Brownie box camera the problem was saving up the money to get the photos developed at the chemist.
This would explain why there are not a lot of photos around.
I know i have heaps of boxes of photos around, changed days.
I once took out the disc in my digital camera and placed i it in my grans hand and said 'gran that disc holds 200 photos' she was amazed!
regards Billy.

I recently acquired photos of one set of greatgreatgrandparents - people whom I never expected to identify, let alone see!  One of these photos is from about 1890, which is the oldest I have.
The only one I have on the wall so far though has been there for years, and is a photo of a family home which was burned in the 1930s.  I'm actually not sure if I'm going to put up the people photos on the wall.  I'm still collecting them anyway!

How sad am I - I not only have my family photos arranged on the shelves in the lounge, but I've tried to match the frames to the era of the photo's (ie. Art Deco-style for my Mum, Edwardian for the Grandparents, Victorian for the G-grandparents etc.)

Sad, sad, sad........... ::)

I have all my grandparents on the wall in my hall, as I only have one gt grandparent picture (my avatar) not likely to go further.  I have lots of my mother and her sisters but few of my father and like him I do try to keep things in balance.
